What attracted you to this post?
I’ve always been fascinated by the history of the RNLI.
What does the job entail day to day?
I manage the museum service and look at how we can use the RNLI’s history to engage the public.
What’s been the most interesting part of the job so far?
Visiting lifeboat stations and meeting the crews, learning about their histories. For example, the Aldeburgh lifeboat crew wear acorn pendants for good luck when they go out on a “shout”.
Qualifications
BA English and history; MA museum studies.
