The latest appointments in the museum sector
Gemma Dhami is the new learning, volunteering and partnerships
manager at Museums Worcestershire. She had been the museum development
officer based at the County Museum, Hartlebury Castle in
Worcestershire.
Ann Sumner has joined the University of Leeds as its first public
art officer. She is a former director of the Barber Institute of Fine
Art at the University of Birmingham.
Isabel Churcher has been appointed as the senior manager, museums, at Arts Council England (ACE). She had been ACE’s relationship manager, museums, for the West Midlands area.
Gurminder Kenth is now the property manager at Birmingham Museums Trust. She was a curator/manager for the trust.
Antonio Benitez has joined the National Media Museum in Bradford as
its partnerships and learning projects manager. He was the Manchester
Science Festival programme coordinator at the Museum of Science &
Industry.

The Science Museum Group (SMG) has appointed the following as
trustees for four years from 1 April 2015: journalist Matthew d’Ancona;
businesswoman Sharon Flood; scientist Russell Foster; academic David
Phoenix; businessman Anton Valk; politician David
Willetts; and lawyer Fiona Woolf.
Academics Athene Donald and Ludmilla Jordanova, broadcaster Michael Grade, and Andreas Goss, the chief executive of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG, have been reappointed as SMG trustees as well.
