What attracted you to this post?
I had never worked at a local history museum before and was struck by the breadth of the collection.
What’s on your to-do list?
The museum is closed at the moment while it undergoes a transformative project to restore the park and structures. I am enjoying deciding the content for the new galleries, which is a great opportunity to research the collection.
What’s been the most challenging task so far?
Last year we moved two carriages, a pony phaeton and a hansom cab out of the mansion’s drawing room through the windows, which took about four days working with specialists.
