Object Description
Massey Ferguson 788 Combine Harvester acquired by Estate Manager for working use on site in 1990s. Worked on by a volunteer until outbreak of Foot and Mouth in 2001 when the site closed to non-essential volunteers. The project was mothballed, and the machine moved outside for a period so that higher priority equipment could be put under cover.
The museum is keen to remove old estate equipment from its site. This machine has been considered for the collection but under the current Collections Development policy it is not deemed to be in an appropriate condition for acceptance. No provenance is known.
