Crowdfunding for our Institutional Members
Through 2020 and 2021 we teamed up with Crowdfunder to run #SupportOurMuseums, a UK-wide campaign which supported our fantastic museums as they faced the huge challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.
Together we raised over £350,000 for museums across the UK, across 41 projects with 5,818 supporters. Thank you.
Taking part in the #SupportOurMuseums campaign led to amazing results for our Crowdfunder, as we smashed our target; securing £58,000 as well as receiving amazing messages of support. The campaign helped us reach out to people who love our museum, build new relationships and connect people with our vision for the future.
We have tried crowdfunding in the past with very little success, but with support from and professionalism of Crowdfunder this time it really worked. We were encouraged to plan and make the project as exciting as possible and the support to maximise social media and other channels led to us exceeding our wildest expectations.
We worked hard to support our Institutional Members during the coronavirus pandemic, stepping up our advocacy and support for the sector, and making the case for all museums.
