Museums in the Information Age: Evolution or Extinction?
A Leicester Exchanges Live debate by the University of Leicester
A panel of experts debates the future of museums in the information age at a Leicester Exchanges Live debate held at the Science Museum, London in November 2012.
The debate was chaired by Robert Burgess, vice-chancellor of the University of Leicester. Also on the panel were Ian Blatchford, director of the Science Museum Group; Carole Souter, chief executive at the Heritage Lottery Fund; and Ross Parry, School of Museum Studies, University of Leicester.
The debate poses the question: "Do museums need to evolve in the digital age to survive and if so, how?"
