Job description

The Museums Association (MA) is seeking a part time (80% FTE) Policy and Campaigns Manager to play a leading role in managing our policy and campaigns work.

In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to lead on our campaigns and policy, including Museums Change Lives, Museums for Climate Justice, Decolonising Museums, and anti-racism. You will conduct research, draft policy papers, respond to consultations and create impactful policy events and content for our website to ensure that we deliver for our membership and the wider sector.

You will lead on our advocacy and develop strong relationships with sector organisations and government representatives and agencies across the four nations of the UK.

The ideal candidate will have experience at a senior level of advocacy and policy development and have excellent communication skills; knowledge of the policy-making process; the ability to research and write accessible, clear policy documents for a range of audiences; an enthusiasm for museums and the positive difference that they can make working in partnership with their communities; and experience of managing a small team and multiple projects.
