Places still available at careers development conference
Delegates at the forthcoming Moving on Up career development conference in Manchester will have the opportunity to take part in speed mentoring with a number of senior museum professionals and directors.

Moving on Up: The secrets of a successful museum career
will take place on 6 February at the Museum of Science and Industry (Mosi) in Manchester.

Speed mentoring is quick and informal – it allows the mentee to ask specific questions or ask for general advice on their professional development.

Seventeen mentors will offer their experience and advice to delegates during an hour-long speed networking session at the event. Delegates will receive biographies of each mentor in advance and will sign up during the registration period.

There will also be concurrent workshops taking place, including interview skills, CV writing tips and general CPD advice.
