Propose a session for MA conference

Simon Stephens, 24.02.2016
Deadline for submissions is end of this week
There is still time to propose a session for this year’s Museums Association (MA) Annual Conference and Exhibition in Glasgow (7-8 November).

The deadline for proposals is the end of this week (26 February). We already have lots of fantastic ideas but are looking for more innovative, bold and thought-provoking suggestions.

The themes for this year’s conference are “Being brave: taking risks and being courageous, ambitious, innovative, outspoken and creative” and “A sense of place: telling the stories of people, communities and collections”.

“Not all sessions have to fall into the themes, but they are a good indication of some of the subjects that we are interested in this year,” says Simon Stephens, the MA’s head of publications and events.

“Both themes are linked to the context of Glasgow, which is known for its strong sense of identity and its ambitious work with local communities, who feel a real sense of ownership of the city’s museums and galleries.”
