Funding to help AMA participants get ahead

Geraldine Kendall, 22.08.2012
Apply for Trevor Walden Trust grants before 17 September
Every year the Trevor Walden Trust offers grants to people currently undertaking the Associateship of the Museums Association (AMA) for activities that advance their professional development.

The grant scheme is administrated by the MA and the final application round for this year’s funding closes on 17 September.

Grants are open to all individual AMA participants, though preference is given to those who are paying their own expenses rather than those subsidised by an employer.

In exceptional circumstances, groups of professionals may also apply for funding. Any groups intending to apply should contact the MA before applying so that their eligibility can be assessed on a case by case basis.

Previous grant-holders have used the funding to undertake field trips abroad, purchase study materials and visit specific collections and curators to fill in gaps in their knowledge.
