Sharing collections knowledge workshops

Free workshops for MA members
The Museums Association is launching a series of workshops designed to help members find practical, low-cost ways to generate, capture, share and use knowledge.

Based on Sharing Knowledge: A Toolkit, a practical guide for museums based on the MA’s Monument Fellowship, the workshops will encourage new ways of working and inclusive approaches that will benefit museums, their staff and audiences.

Delegates will be joined by a former Monument Fellow and a manager from a host organisation, who will help facilitate the day and share tips on working with colleagues and running knowledge sharing events.

The MA is particularly encouraging staff working with collections specialists, members of learning teams, staff managing programmes and projects, volunteers, and volunteer managers to attend.

The first workshop will be held on Wednesday 2 May in central London, with another in Glasgow on 11 June, another planned for Swansea, and one in Northern Ireland.

The workshops are free for all Museums Association professional members and all staff at institutional member organisations. Places are available on a first come, first served basis, and delegates should book to guarantee a place.
