Museums Association board elections 2013

Patrick Steel, 19.12.2012
Could you help shape the future of the sector?
Elections to the Museums Association (MA) board will be taking place in the New Year. We are looking for talented, motivated and creative people to drive the strategic direction of the MA.

There are two vacancies on the MA's governing body, both for three-year terms: Sally MacDonald steps down after six years serving on council and the board and Vanessa Trevelyan finishes her term as president on 31 March 2013.

Nominees to the board must be individual members of the MA. Nominees for the role of president must be currently serving as a board member.

As a board member, you will help shape the future of the museum sector, develop new policies and initiatives and advocate for all museums.

If you have these qualities or a particular expertise you can offer, then please consider putting yourself forward.

For nomination forms, please email Georgie Stagg:

The closing date for nominations is the 31 January 2013. Voting will commence early February and the election results announced on the 28 February.
