Deadline for session proposals fast approaching

The MA is seeking session proposals for Conference 2011 before the 18 February deadline.

The Museums Association Annual Conference & Exhibition is the largest event of its kind in Europe, bringing together hundreds of museum professionals to debate the latest thinking and ideas.

Submitting a proposal is the only way to ensure topics you want to discuss are on the agenda. The call for proposals is open to everyone working in the sector.

Sharon Heal, the MA’s head of publications and events, said: “With the abolition of the MLA and funding cuts around every corner, this year’s conference will provide a vital opportunity for debate. I’m expecting discussion about everything from the future leadership and direction of the sector to philanthropy, partnerships and programming.

“We had a record number of proposals last year, which contributed to a really lively conference programme, and I hope to replicate that this year.”

The MA Conference and Exhibition 2011 takes place 3-4 October at The Brighton Centre, Brighton.
