Opportunity to deliver a practical workshop at conference
Museums and suppliers are invited to put forward proposals to deliver a Museum Practice (MP) workshop for exhibition visitors and conference delegates at the Museums Association (MA) Conference and Exhibition 2015 in Birmingham.

Taking place on 5-6 November at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, the MA Conference and Exhibition is one of the biggest networking opportunities for museum professionals in Europe.

The MP workshops programme will take place in the exhibition and offers practical, case study-led content to visitors and delegates.

They are an opportunity for companies, consultants and museum professionals to showcase recent projects, products or services, and lead discussion in a specific area of expertise.

Simon Stephens, the head of events and publications at the MA, said: “MP workshops are an opportunity to share best practice with a range of professionals, and we’re looking for innovative ideas from across all areas of museums’ work.”

In previous years, MP workshops have covered a diverse range of subjects, from using LED lighting and running successful retail operations to working with artists and developing augmented reality apps.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is 26 May. Forms should be returned to rebecca.atkinson@museumsassociation.org
