The Museums Association (MA) is offering a significant discount to pre-publication orders for the Museums & Galleries Yearbook 2013, which will be published at the end of January.

The yearbook consists of a print publication and an online database containing over 2,600 museums, galleries and heritage sites; 12,000 staff across museum departments; and 260 related organisations and course providers.

Subscribers receive access to full address details, including website and emails, as well as facilities, access information and attendance figures. The database also allows searches by job title, location, collection type, services offered and geographical area.

A full subscription includes the printed directory and online access. This can be taken as a single or institution-wide subscription – the latter includes five printed copies and online access for every member of staff in an organisation.

And this year for the first time the MA is offering online-only access subscription to the yearbook.

Will Adams, head of marketing at the MA, said: “The Museums & Galleries Yearbook is a fantastic resource for anyone working in or with museums.

"A handy print directory and detailed online search provide the tools you need to find the right contact or collection. Packed with detailed information and an easy-to-use search, it is an invaluable tool.

“And in 2013 we are offering online-only subscriptions – an even more cost-effective way to find the information you need.”

Orders must be made before 31 January to receive the discount.
