Raise your museum shop profile for 26 November
The Association for Cultural Enterprises (ACE) is launching Museum Shop Sunday on 26 November, encouraging museums to raise the profile of their shops during the Christmas shopping period.

Museums can find a marketing toolkit containing event ideas, logos, and web banners on ACE’s website, and can sign up to be added to a worldwide map of participating venues.

An ACE spokeswoman says: “Museum Shop Sunday is a way for shops in cultural venues across the world to raise their profile during the busy Christmas shopping period. Why not celebrate with a special event or promotion in your shop? It's the perfect opportunity for customers old and new to buy some unique Christmas gifts for their family and friends in relaxing and inspiring surroundings away from the chaos of the high street.”

ACE is a sponsor of the Museums Association Conference and Exhibition 2017 where visitors and delegates will be able to discuss Museum Shop Sunday with ACE staff at stand 27 in the Exchange Hall.

Will Adams, the MA’s deputy director, says: “The MA and ACE have been collaborating for a number of years in areas of common interest to our members, in particular supporting each other’s events.

“We are pleased to continue this relationship and that attendees to the MA exhibition can meet ACE staff and discuss their commercial activities.”

Museums can promote their shops for Museum Shop Sunday using the hashtag #museumshopsunday.
