Supporting the development of fellow museum professionals
The Museums Association (MA) is inviting individual MA members in Northern Ireland to support fellow museum professionals undertaking the Associateship of the Museums Association (AMA) by becoming an AMA mentor.

To apply to be a mentor you must have worked in the sector for a minimum of five years and have good, up-to-date knowledge of the sector.

“Being an AMA mentor provides you with the opportunities to apply coaching and mentoring skills outside direct management relationships,” says Tamsin Russell, the MA’s professional development officer.

“The role will enable you to meet new people, develop your skills, discover new insights about yourself and in so doing, support the personal and career development of fellow museum professionals.

“If this is you, then please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you.”

Applications close on Tuesday 8 May 2018. Successful applicants will be invited to attend a mentor workshop on Friday 15 June 2018 at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.
