Paid role will support code of ethics review
The Museums Association (MA) is looking for a policy intern to work full time for three months to support the MA’s review of its code of ethics.

The role will be paid the London Living Wage and will be based at the MA’s London office. It involves collecting and reviewing the formal consultation responses, consulting with members of the MA on ethical concerns, producing a summary of views on a broad range of ethical issues, responding to individual queries on ethical issues, assisting with consultation events around the UK, and liaising with the MA’s ethics committee.

Alistair Brown, the MA’s policy officer, said: “I’m really excited about bringing someone on to the team to work on this project. The review of the code of ethics is both fascinating and important - it goes right to the heart of what our museums are for.

“This is a great opportunity for someone with a real interest in museum ethics to develop their knowledge and build a network across the UK’s museums. I’d encourage anyone with an interest in the role of museums in our society to apply.”

The closing date for applications is 6pm on 25 January 2015.
