A chance to shape the future of your sector
Museums Association (MA) members are invited to have a greater say in the governance and policy of the association by putting themselves forward for election to the MA board next year.

There will be three vacancies on the association’s 12-person board in the next election, for three-year terms beginning on 1 April 2016.

We are looking for talented, motivated and creative people to help drive the strategic direction of the association.

Candidates must be individual members of the MA, and need two other members to support their nomination before they can stand.

Becoming a board member is a great opportunity to shape the future of the sector by helping the MA to develop new policy and initiatives, and lobby government and other stakeholders on behalf of museums.

A full description of the role and key skills required, and a nomination form, are available from the independent mi-voice website.

The closing date for nominations is 5pm on 29 January 2016. Voting will commence in early February and the results will be announced on 2 March 2016.
