Tamsin Russell to discuss CPD and the MA’s professional development strategy
The Museums Association’s (MA) professional development officer, Tamsin Russell, is to host two sessions of Museum Hour on Twitter, one about CPD in the sector at 8pm on 19 September, and one on CPD for freelancers at 8pm on 28 September.

“Both sessions are dedicated to people’s experience of CPD and an opportunity to give us feedback on your CPD wants and wishes,” says Russell. “The MA is currently working on its strategy for professional development and this is a chance to shape and inform that.

“The session on 19 September is for anyone working or volunteering in the sector, while the session on 28 September will focus on the different challenges that freelancers face.

“We will also be consulting on our LinkedIn account later this month, so if you haven’t already then please join the Museums Association group.”

Delegates and visitors at the MA Conference and Exhibition in Glasgow will also have a chance to have a say on the MA’s workforce and CPD strategy at the Careers Hub.

And Russell is also encouraging MA members and others in the sector to email her with their thoughts on the MA’s professional development strategy:
