Can you help make the case for touring exhibitions?

The Touring Exhibitions Group (TEG) has published a questionnaire to gather information about touring exhibitions in the UK for a project that will tackle some of the issues raised in the MA's Collections For The Future report…
The project is funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and will look at the pros and cons of touring exhibitions in the UK, collating evidence to help flag up areas in need of support and development.

The Museums Association's Collections For The Future report, published earlier this year, highlighted the importance of touring exhibitions, and the MA is hopeful that the TEG project will take on some of the issues raised in the report.

Maurice Davies, the MA's deputy director, said: 'In Collections For The Future we stated that we would continue to encourage more and better touring exhibitions, so this research will be an important part in building that case and understanding what the potential and the problems might be.'

The closing date for completion of the questionnaire is Friday 30 September.
