MA members can connect with MPs during Twitter debate

Debate will focus on funding inequalities between London and the regions
Members of the Museums Association (MA) will have the chance to engage directly with MPs during a social media debate.
The MA has teamed up with a parliamentary outreach service in Westminster to stage a Twitter debate on Tuesday (14 July) between 2pm and 4pm.
The debate will focus on funding inequalities between museums, galleries and heritage organisations in London and the regions. It will take place before the topic is discussed in Westminster Hall during a debate organised by Robert Jenrick MP (@RobertJenrick).
Alistair Brown, the policy officer at the MA, says: “This debate will be an opportunity for people who work in museums to provide case studies about funding and access in their region, and argue the case for better funding for culture across the UK.”
If you would like to participate, please tweet your views or relevant reports and case studies using the hashtag #artsfunding between 2-4pm on Tuesday.
