Still time to vote in the MA elections

Ballot closes on 28 February
This month the Museums Association will hold an election to its Board. This will be an electronic election.

Members will receive an email from MiVoice, an independent company that is running the election for the MA. The email should contain an individual code and a link to the MiVoice website, where members will be able to read detailed candidate information and place their vote.

There are five vacancies on the Board this year and 13 candidates have put themselves forward for election. The term of office is three years, commencing on 1 April 2014.

The Board is responsible to the membership of the MA for ensuring that the organisation is administered in a way that complies with all legal, financial and other relevant regulations.

It is also responsible to the membership for ensuring that the MA fulfils its aims and objectives. The Board meets at least six times a year to determine the MA’s strategic direction.

All individual MA members, and one named representative from institutional member organisations, are invited to cast a vote. Members are encouraged to read all the information and consider which candidates are most suited to the skill sets required.

The ballot closes at 5pm on Friday 28 February. Results will be announced on the MA website on Monday 3 March.

If members have any problems voting, or have not received the email and the code, please contact Georgie Stagg at georgie@museumsassociation.org
