Book now to secure your Museums Association (MA) Conference ticket before the early-bird offer ends on 16 August.

This year’s event in Manchester includes a fantastic lineup of speakers, great social events and a wide range of Museum Practice workshops. New for 2017 is Museums Change Lives training, and the Festival of Change, a series of playful interventions that will embody the spirit of the MA’s Transformers programme.

The conference themes are audiences, collections and workforce. They keynotes are poet Lemn Sissay, comedian Francesca Martinez and artist Jeremy Deller. More keynotes will be announced soon.

This year the MA is also offering 50 subsidised places at £128 each for anyone working at a small or medium-sized museum that is also an institutional member of the MA.

A number of organisations are also offering funding to help people attend the MA conference, including Museum Development North West, which is offering eight free places.

West Midlands Museum Development has eight single-day tickets to Conference available and the deadline for applications is 29 September.

Do check with the your museum federation or museum development team to see if they have funding available to help you attend the MA Conference. The MA website lists full details of grants and bursaries available to support attendance.
