New access comes as membership hits record high
From today, the Museums Association has opened access to Museum Practice, its online resource for museums to share best practice across a range of roles and specialisations, to staff at museums with institutional membership of the MA.

Staff at member museums who have registered for the MA website can now login to access the comprehensive archive, covering fifteen years at the cutting edge of museum practice, with examples of new innovations and developments from the latest technology to new ways of interpreting objects and storing collections.

Staff registering for the MA website to gain access to MP should ensure that they include details of their workplace. The website will automatically give them access.

The interactive pages also allow for comment and dedicated pages for discussion.

The Museums Association’s head of marketing, Will Adams, said: “Museum Practice holds a fantastic wealth of information for anyone working in museums and galleries.

“We hope that opening this up to staff in member museums will allow even more discussion across the sector of the latest and best working practice.”

The decision to open up Museum Practice comes as the MA sees record numbers of members, with 5,466 professional members, 582 institutional members and 262 corporate members.
