Deadline for proposals is 31 March
Museums and suppliers are invited to put forward proposals to deliver a Museum Practice (MP) workshop for exhibition visitors and conference delegates at the Museums Association (MA) Conference and Exhibition 2017 in Manchester.

Taking place on 16-18 November at the Manchester Conference Centre, the MA Conference and Exhibition is one of the biggest networking opportunities for museum professionals in Europe.

The MP workshops take place in the exhibition and are free for visitors, exhibitors and conference delegates to attend.

The workshop programme is designed to offer practical, insightful and case study-led content under four distinct themes: careers; technology and digital; audiences, learning and engagement; and collections, interpretation and exhibition design.

They are an opportunity for companies, consultants and museum professionals to showcase recent projects, products or services, and lead discussion in a specific area of expertise.

“MP workshops are an important part of the MA Conference and Exhibition as they provide an opportunity to share best practice with a range of professionals,” said Simon Stephens, head of events and publications at the MA.

“If you’ve delivered an innovative project in the past year, or want to share your work with your peers, then we want to hear from you.”

The deadline for submitting a proposal is 31 March.

I would like to put forward a proposal to give a practical workshop at the MA conference but I have just read in your guidelines that one of the speakers has to be from a Museum gallery or heritage institution.
I work for Museums and Heritage institutions as a scenic artist and fake food maker. Is it worth me applying?
