#MuseumSummer competition

We’re delighted to reveal the winners of our #MuseumSummer Twitter photo competition.

From crafts and collages to tours and trails, we loved seeing what you got up to this summer. Thank you to all our entrants for participating – we saw so many wonderful photos of museums and activities!

Scroll on to see the two winning organisation entries (in the end we weren’t able to choose just one!) and two winning individual entries.

Organisation winner: Rugby Art Gallery and Museum
A young boy holds a piece of artwork he's created to resemble a piece of art

We loved this photo of someone very proudly showing us their artwork as inspired by a piece that’s already on display at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum. An artist for a future exhibition, perhaps?

Organisation winner: Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter
Three children smiling and holding decorative masks

We’re thrilled to see collections inspiring children’s crafts in this picture from RAMM’s ‘make a mask’ activity, drawing upon the museum’s World Cultures collection.

Individual winner: Mark Cobain
A group of young people gather to take part in a creative activity

Everyone looks like they’re hard at work in this snap at the Cartoon Museum, London – what a fun setting for creating your own artworks!

Individual winner: Joanna Harrison
A man dressed as a knight riding a horse and jousting

Anyone for jousting? We love this action shot from a Tudor-inspired scene at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds.

Thanks again to all our entrants – we hope you had as much fun taking your photos as we did choosing our favourites.
