Latest MP on museums and refugees
The latest edition of Museum Practice (MP) looks at how museums are working with refugee communities in the UK and Europe.

The articles explore the impact of this work and offer practical advice on developing relationships, building flexibility into projects and sustainability.

Domenico Sergi, a Phd candidate at the SIfA-Sainsbury Institute for Art, offers an overview of exhibitions and events, partnerships between institutions, and practices aimed at supporting refugees’ wellbeing and promoting intercultural dialogue.

And Elena Montanari, a research fellow in interior architecture and exhibition design at Politecnico di Milano, looks at how museums across Europe are responding to migration issues.

There are also a number of case studies, including an example from the Herbert Museum and Art Gallery in Coventry, which has worked with a social enterprise of migrant and refugee women to create a limited edition range for its shop.
