The June edition of Museum Practice (MP) will look at PR, particularly for smaller museums and those without dedicated press resources.

The articles will include practical advice on building relationships with the press, from local newspapers and radio to nationals and bloggers; writing press releases and holding private views; and working with PR agencies.

They will also look at how museums can deal effectively with negative press attention.

Museums and heritage organisations are invited to share their own experiences of running PR campaigns, responding to a media crisis or raising their media presence by submitting a case study.

Case studies should be about 400 words long and accompanied by photographs.

For tips and advice, read this guide to writing a MP case study.

Please email your case studies by 15 May to
