The August edition of Museum Practice will explore the rise of ethical trading in the museum and heritage sector.

The articles will examine how museums can sell ethical products and produce in their shops and cafes; generate an income from activities such as beekeeping; and reduce the amount of plastic they use in their commercial operations.

Museums are invited to submit their own case studies, sharing how they are working towards more ethical trading. Case studies should be should be about 400 words long and accompanied by photographs.

For tips and advice, read this guide to writing a MP case study.

Please email your case studies by 15 July to practice@museumsassociation.org
