Opportunity: Museums Change Lives Awards freelance position

This year, we are looking to continue to grow the Museums Change Lives Awards into a key moment in the museum sector’s calendar, and use them to highlight the work of our members who are creating a meaningful change with the audiences and communities they serve.
Specification of work
The awards ceremony will be held at our conference in Liverpool on 8-9 November 2021. We are looking to bring a freelancer on board who can help to make these awards a success by supporting the planning and administration of these awards, including:
- Managing and processing awards entries
- Supporting the judging process
- Liaising with shortlistees, winners and unsuccessful entries
- Liaising with the venue to ensure a flawless awards ceremony
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure branding, marketing and sponsorship plans are implemented
- Supporting communications activity
Expected period of work
We expect this work to take place during the period August to November 2021. An indicative timeline of work is set out below, but this will be subject to further discussion. This is likely to include participation at the MA conference on 8 November in Liverpool.
August: 3 days
September: 4 days
October: 5 days
November: 3 days
Total: 15 days
Indicative day rate: £150 per day
