Collections Fund Conversations
As part of our work to share the learning from our Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund and our Digital Innovation and Engagement Fund (supported by UKRI and AHRC) we filmed three thematic conversations between grantees who discuss their project and how they approached issues relating to the themes. The conversations are as follows:
Adapting digital – addressing what digital engagement can do to connect with audiences
The film features the National Justice Centre, Barnsley Museums Service and Hastings Contemporary who discuss how they turned to digital engagement during Covid lockdowns and what they have learnt from this approach.
Using collections to raise awareness of the climate crisis
This film features Bristol Museums, Tullie House Museum and University of Cambridge Museum of Zoology who discuss how museum collections can be used to foster debate among museum audiences and used as a tool to encourage sustainability and climate awareness.
Decolonising collections practice
This film features the David Livingstone Birthplace, the University of Cambridge Museums and the Horniman Museum and Gardens who discuss their approach to decolonising practice through funded projects, the barriers they have faced and how they addressed them.
We hope that they will inspire you to have discussions in your own organisation on the topics covered and to share ideas.
