Object Description
Victorian mahogany oval conference table with red leather top, and set of 14 accompanying chairs. The chairs are made from mahogany and are upholstered with red rexine (artificial leather). They have turned baluster fluted supports with brass capped feet and castors. These items had been located in the War Office building in central London before being relocated by the First Sea Lord’s office through the Old War Office Clearance Committee. The table and chairs until now have been used by the Royal Navy HQ in Portsmouth.
Table dimensions: 3657mm x 1828mm x 762mm.
Chair dimensions are: 914mm x 508mm x 508mm.
