Object Description
Following a collections review of the Natural History Collections the Horniman Museum and Gardens have identified and approved a selection of specimens for disposal via transfer. These include entomology, osteology, scientific equipment and marine specimens. Please see attached lists for details of specimens available.
Our aim is that transferred items remain in the public domain and we give priority to accredited museums who wish to acquire these items.
If you would like more information or are interested in acquiring an object from the attached lists please email astephenson@horniman.ac.uk and docsupport@horniman.ac.uk including the following information:
• The object number and description as listed.
• The organisation that you are representing, including the type of organisation (i.e. accredited museum, charitable trust)
• A description of how you intend to use the object(s) (i.e. accessioning into the permanent collection, handling collection etc.)
