How can you convert your studies into a career in museums, galleries or heritage?

Museums Association One-Day Conference

Get off to a flying start with Don’t Stop Me Now – the event for students looking for the know-how from people who have done it themselves.

Museums improve wellbeing and help us feel proud of where we have come from, inspire and challenge us and make us feel healthier. Museums help us understand, debate, and challenge a world where poverty, inequality, intolerance and discrimination are on the rise. Museums enhance life chances by breaking down barriers to access and inclusion. Museums are dynamic places to work, sharing knowledge, engaging with communities, and actively participating and impacting on society.

Choosing a career in museums is an exciting and significant decision. But navigating the different options and getting that all important first step on the ladder can feel daunting.

The Museums Association is here to help. This event is aimed at people seeking to work in museums, who want to find out more about their options and learn how they can have a positive impact in their career.

Through an informative and fun programme, learn from people working in the sector about how to build your career and take part in some of the vibrant and impactful work that museums are delivering.

Don’t Stop Me Now helps you consider new and different approaches to your career, giving practical advice and useful ideas to help you chart a path through the museums sector.

The day provides information on the range of careers available in museums, what they are looking for in new employees, and how you can make yourself stand out from the crowd to shape your own career.
