Amazing Spaces: New Thinking on Exhibition Design

30 April 2019, Wellcome Collection
Museums Association One-Day Conference

With advances in technology, an ever-increasing focus on visitor experience, and the rise of co-curation and co-design, approaches to exhibition design are changing fast.

But how can we make use of these advances to tell the best stories possible?

Following on from 2018’s Exhibitionists: Designing Great Exhibitions, the Museums Association is pleased to announce this one-day conference, which will take place at the Wellcome Collection in London on 30 April.

It brings together designers, curators and engagement facilitators to discuss how exhibition design is developing, and hear how those behind current design projects have made the most of these opportunities.

Aimed at anyone involved in creating permanent or temporary displays and exhibitions, the day presents new ideas, provoke discussion, and allow delegates to build new relationships.

Speakers include:

Andrea Cunningham, Interim Lead and Head of Learning, V&A Museum of Childhood
José Esteves De Matos, Director, De Matos Ryan
Hannah Fox, Director of Projects and Programmes, Derby Museums
Ruth Gill, Director of Public Programmes, National Museums Scotland
Anila Ladwa, Curator, Producer and Researcher, Horniman Museum & Gardens
