Bus tours and free entry at selected venues for conference delegates
Delegates at the Museums Association's (MA) Conference and Exhibition 2018 can take advantage of five free bus tours on Saturday 10 November, and free entry to a number of venues around Northern Ireland on the 10 and 11 November.

0930 Bus picks up delegates from Waterfront Hall

1015 Guided tour of Crumlin Road Gaol

1145 Travel to Ulster Folk and Transport Museum

1215 Lunch in Ballycultra Tearoom

1300 Visit to Folk Museum

1430 Guided tour of Transport Museum and Miniature Railway Day (Friends of Cultra)

1615 Travel back to Belfast

1700 Arrive back at Waterfront Hall

Tour Two - Cultural and political tours of Belfast

In partnership with East Side Tourism and Fáilte Feirste (East and West Belfast tourism organisations)

0930 Bus picks up delegates at Waterfront Hall and travels to East Belfast

1000 Guided tours of East Belfast

1230 Lunch in Culturlann and East/West presentation

1400 Guided tours of West Belfast

1600 Bus takes delegates back to pick up point

1645 Arrive back at Waterfront Hall

Tour Three – Derry~Londonderry

0845 Bus picks up delegates at Waterfront Hall and travels to Derry/Londonderry

1100 Tour of Tower Museum and Derry’s Walls

1300 Lunch in Guildhall

1430 Tours of Siege Museum and Museum of Free Derry

1630 Travel back to Belfast arriving at approximately 1830

1830 Arrive back at Waterfront Hall

Tour Four - Downpatrick

0900 Bus picks up delegates at Waterfront Hall

1000 Tour of Mount Stewart National Trust property and National Portrait Gallery’s touring exhibition, Votes for Women

1145 Ferry to Strangford

1215 Tour of Down Museum followed by lunch

1400 Visit St Patrick’s grave, Down Cathedral and St Patrick’s Centre

1545 Visit Downpatrick and Co. Down Railway Time

1745 Arrive back at Waterfront Hall

Tour Five - Dublin

0900 Bus picks up delegates at Waterfront Hall

1100 Arrival to the Office of Public Work's Kilmainham Gaol

1110 Visit to Kilmainham Gaol with museum curator Brian Crowley

1220 Bus collects from Kilmainham Gaol

1250 Arrival Customs House Quay (CHQ)

Lunch in CHQ (additional to tour, at own leisure)

1345 Visit to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum with senior curator Nathan Mannion

1515 Bus collections Custom House Quay/EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum

1530 Visit to General Post Office (GPO) Witness History Visitor Centre with general manager Aline FitzGerald

1700 Bus departs from Parnell Square North.

1900 Arrive back at Waterfront Hall.
