Send us your Conference 2012 session proposals

Sharon Heal, 03.01.2012
The call for proposals for Conference 2012 is now open
The MA is looking for lively and engaging sessions that address the contemporary concerns of the audiences and staff of museums and galleries for the Museums Association Conference and Exhibition 2012, to be held in Edinburgh on 8-9 November.

How can museums connect with communities on their doorsteps? In these challenging times should museums be tackling social justice issues? And what can we do to build a workforce that is capable of shaping the changes that will be needed in the coming years?

If you have great ideas for roundtables, debates or soapbox sessions we are keen to hear from you.

This year we want the conference to be as participatory as possible so sessions that encourage delegates to take part and get involved will be prioritised.

Anyone is welcome to submit a proposal, please feel free to contact the events department for advice on what makes a good session or see the guidance notes on the proposal form.

The call for proposals closes on Sunday 19 February.
