Workforce review and strategy
Supporting our members and the wider museum workforce is central to what we do. We will soon be launching the new MA Workforce Strategy for 2022-2025, and following the success of many of our Covid-response interventions, we are building these into our future offers.
We have listened to feedback from our consultations, engagement and evaluations and have integrated this in our priorities and approach to workforce. Thank you to everyone who took part in our research and informed our thinking.
We support the development of all those that work in and with museums, at any career stage, and we look forward to working with our members and the sector to increase competence, realise their potential and diversify the sector as much as possible.
“This is the MA’s third Workforce Strategy and outlines our priorities for professional and sector development. The next three years look so exciting as we refresh some of our existing programmes and add some new ones. For example, we are delighted to offer a standalone MA Mentoring Programme, as well as taking forward our Covid responses as core – you will now have the opportunity to participate in Career Conversations twice a year. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or at a career crossroads, there will be something to help you think and take the next steps.”
