Career Conversations

Following our highly successful programme of April 2020, when over 100 members participated in the programme, Career Conversations returns from April to June 2021.

You’ll have the opportunity to book a one-hour career conversation with Tamsin Russell, our workforce development officer. The slots will usually take place between 12.00pm and 1.00pm, Monday to Friday.

The session is guided by you, and you will be sent some pre-session reflection questions to make the most of the time available. After the session you will receive a presentation that captures universal themes around careers.

Over 90% of last year’s participants felt that the programme gave them increased clarity and more confidence in their next steps.

Whether you’re looking to join the sector, are experiencing a career interruption, or are looking to make a change, exploring this in a safe and supportive space can make all the difference.

2020 has seen the sector contract and diversify as a result of redundancy programmes and new opportunities. This, combined with time working or being furloughed at home and the direct negative impact of Covid-19, has meant individuals have begun to reflect on what is important to them from both work and life perspectives.

I look forward to holding the space for individual members to explore the career questions they are facing; sharing insights, tools and signposting support.
