Have your say on the future of the sector
The Museums Association has today launched its Museums 2020 consultation: asking the museum sector to come together to help create a bold vision for UK museums and their impact.

In particular, the consultation focuses on the difference museums can have on individuals, communities, society and the environment.

MA president Vanessa Trevelyan said: “Economic times may be challenging, but the Museums Association believes every museum now has the opportunity to build on the investment and success of recent years and to increase its impact, and the difference it makes to individuals, to communities, to society and to the environment.

“We set out our thinking in the Museums 2020 discussion paper. Now we want to hear the sector’s views about how museums could change to better fulfil their potential to play a part in improving people’s lives.

“Please read the Museums 2020 discussion paper, think about what it says, discuss it with colleagues, and send us your views. Your views will help shape the Museums 2020 vision of museums and their impact, so make your voice heard.”
