Central Scotland AMA Support Group

Who are we?

The Central Scotland AMA Support Group is a forum which exists to help museum, gallery and other heritage professionals who are working towards the AMA in the region.

Who is the group for?

The group welcomes everyone, from those who are thinking about starting, to those who have made more progress on the AMA.

Members are welcome from across Central Scotland, working in a wide variety of organisations and areas of interest.

Sally, As far as i know - there isn't. I appreciate that you may not be able to attend meetings - but i am happy to cc you in any any discussions or questions - we have and please feel vice versa. We set our meeting dates quite far in advance so i am not sure whether you would be able to arrange a trip? In addition to this the Scottish Museums Federation is a body that supports development for museum and gallery professionals and with more than 8 events a year -some free and some at cost - you may also find an excellent space for networking and support. Please could someone tell me if there is an AMA support group in the Southwest of Scotland?
I would be very interested in doing the AMA, but I would need a local group.

We had an excellent AMA Support Group yesterday. It was held at the National War Museum and we discussed the new National Development Strategy for Scotland and had an opportunity to vsiit the new exhibition Re-constructing Lives which was fantastic.
Our next meeting is on thursday 19th July and we are focussing on - Effective Professional Reviews - please let me know if you would like to attend.
