Former shadow culture secretary appointed
Jeremy Hunt has been confirmed as secretary of state for culture, olympics, media and sport.

The role of arts minister has yet to be announced, but favourites for the job include Conservative former shadow arts minister Ed Vaizey and Liberal Democrat culture spokesman Don Foster.

Both parties are committed to maintaining free entry to national museums and increasing the share of lottery money to the arts.
