16-18 November 2017, Manchester

Book now for the Museums Association (MA) Annual Conference & Exhibition 2017 in Manchester and take advantage of the early-bird rate.

A further discount is available for members of the Museums Association.

This year’s conference will take place at Manchester Central from 16 to 18 November.

Themes for the conference are audiences, collections, and workforce.

Sessions will look at how can museums expand and deepen their relationship with the public in the context of a growing atmosphere of intolerance, mistrust and division following last year’s Brexit vote and the resulting political turmoil; how collections can be used to inspire and engage communities and make a difference to people’s lives; and what the museum professional of the future will look like and what knowledge and experience will they need.

Simon Stephens, the MA’s head of publications and events, said: "If you work in or for museums then you should consider taking advantage of this fantastic offer to attend the conference, where you can hear the latest thinking from across the sector, and network with colleagues from around the UK and the world.

"Last year's event in Glasgow was our biggest to date and we hope to build on that success to make this year's conference an unforgettable event.

"We look forward to seeing you there."

The early-bird deadline ends on 16 August.
