Members invited to free meeting in Leicester
The next Museums Association’s (MA) members’ meeting will be held at the New Walk Museum & Art Gallery in Leicester on Wednesday 14 March.
The programme will include talks on the MA’s current policy and activities including Museums 2020, a vision for the future of museums and their impact.
There will also be presentations from regional representatives, including the East Midland's Museums Service, Arts Council England and members of the museum development team.
The MA introduced free members’ meetings as part of 2010’s governance restructure, with the aim of keeping members informed and giving them more input in the policies and direction of the association.
The free event in Leicester will run from 10am until 4pm and is open to all individual, institutional and corporate MA members living or working in the East Midlands.
There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and feedback from members. The final agenda for the meeting will be released nearer the time.
Members’ meetings are being held in every region and nation of the UK, with meetings already having taken place in Wales, Yorkshire and London.
Places at the East Midland’s MA members' meeting are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The MA would like to thank the Amgueddfa cymru (National Museum Wales), Leeds City Museum, the British Museum and New Walk Museum for providing venues for members’ meetings free of charge.
