Diana Owen, the chief executive of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust for the past 10 years, has announced that she will step down from the post in early 2018.

Peter Kerber has been appointed the curator of Dulwich Picture Gallery in south London, succeeding Xavier Bray. Kerber will take up the position in September.

Diane Clements, the director of the Library and Museum of Freemasonry based at Freemason’s Hall in London, will retire at the end of this year.
 
The University of Manchester’s Whitworth art gallery has appointed two new senior curators. Gillian Forrester and Dominique Heyse-Moore will begin their new roles in July and September respectively.

Sue Shave is leaving her role as the museum director of Chiltern Open Air Museum in Buckinghamshire to become the museum director of Buckinghamshire County Museum Trust, where she begins on 1 August.

Jonathan Ive will replace British business tycoon James Dyson as chancellor of London’s Royal College of Art. Ive leaves his post as Apple’s chief design officer.

The governing board of the Courtauld Institute of Art in London has appointed John Browne, Lord Browne of Madingley as its chairman. Browne will take up the post on 1 September and succeeds James Hughes-Hallett.

Helen Featherstone has been appointed as the director of Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust.

Romy Murray, Jacqueline Riding and David Souden have been appointed as trustees for Turner’s House Trust, based at the famous painter’s house, Sandycombe Lodge in Twickenham.
