We would like to do more work with community groups such as exhibitions and displays but don't really know where to start. There is very much a feeling among senior staff at my museum that we shouldn't encourage outside participation. This is mainly due to fear (I think) about losing control and potentially exposing flaws in the museum service. I would welcome any advice about how I can try to change this perception?
