| Event title | First steps in fundraising success (W7) |
| Details | 1000-1600
For museum staff needing support in developing a sustainable approach to fundraising. Increasingly museums need to raise additional funds, beyond that provided by either grant aid or earned income, for one-off capital projects or for supporting regular museum activities.
This session will help develop your ability to make successful applications to grant-making bodies and charitable trusts and foundations.
This interactive, case-study centred workshop will give you:
information on how to access funding
an understanding of how to research trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies and an appreciation of their priorities
a knowledge of developing a convincing grant application with a focus on the new HLF application process
guidance on developing a practical, achievable and realistic fundraising plan tailored to your museums needs.
