Conditions of acceptance

For all display and recruitment advertising
1. Advertisements or series of advertisements are subject to cancellation or suspension at the discretion of the publishers. There is a minimum period of six weeks written notice required for all cancellations.

All advertisement copy is subject to the approval of the publishers.

3. The advertisement(s) should not contravene the provision of the Trade Descriptions Act 1980. It should not contravene any Act of Part or be in any other way illegal. It should comply with the British Code of Advertising Practice and all other codes under the general supervision of the Advertising Standards Authority. It should not defame or infringe upon the rights of any other party.

4. The publishers reserve the right to change the advertisement rates of the magazine at any time.

The publishers, whilst endeavouring to ensure that advertisements appear with all possible regularity, will not be held liable for any loss occasioned by failure of any advertisement to appear, from any cause whatsoever.

If advertisement copy is not supplied in the required format by the given copy date the last copy will be used.

7. Outstanding accounts must be settled within 30 days of the invoice. The publisher reserve the right to withhold advertising if an account remains outstanding.

8. The publishers reserve the right to postpone publication of any advertisement or magazine, if and when they find it necessary, and such postponement will not be regarded as a breach of contract.

9. Unless instructed to the contrary, the publishers reserve the right to dispose of all advertiser's artwork and copy after a period of 12 months from the date it was last published.

The specified copy requirements must be adhered to by the advertiser. If they are not, any necessary work carried out by the publishers or their agents to meet such requirements will be charged to the advertiser.

11. Where designs are produced for the advertiser by the publisher, such designs are the copyright of the Museums Association, and their use is restricted to Museums Association publications.
